UKCC Paddlesports

We provide both personal star awards and UKCC coaching awards for canoeing and kayaking. This can be in the disciplines of inland kayak, sea kayak and open canoeing. This is in line with the British Canoe Union (BCU) and Welsh Canoe Union (WCA) syllabuses.

BCU Two Star 

Covers manoeuvring skills and forwards paddling in both kayaks and canoes on flat water. It also looks at general aspects of paddlewsport.

BCU Three Star Inland

For those that wish to develop their white water kayak skills and demonstrate their competence to control and manoeuvre their kayak on flat water. These course are run in conjunction with Sea 2 Summit.

BCU Three Star Sea

Concentrates on skills to manoeuvre a sea kayak in a coastal environment. These courses are run in conjunction with Adventure Elements.

UKCC Level 1 Coach  - training and assessment in one course

A coaching award for those that want to lead and coach groups on sheltered water.

Our coaching courses are run with a fun and dynamic style so you shouldn't feel intimidated even though it is a qualification course. You will have confidence and ability to put into practice your newfound skills. A clear action plan will be drawn up and detailed feedback for each candidate.
